The wtf.ai map guiding a route

When the dot on your map lies

During air raids, satellite positioning is jammed or spoofed: an ordinary map freezes, or throws you hundreds of kilometres away. wtf.ai keeps following the car from its own speed and turns.

Keeps your position

From the last trusted fix it goes on with the car's wheel speed and the phone's sense of turning, and keeps the car on the roads.

Spots fake positions

A satellite position that disagrees with how the car actually moves is refused. You see where GPS claims you are, in grey.

Fully offline

Download your region once. The map, address search, routes and voice guidance then need no internet.

Turn-by-turn voice

Spoken directions in English or Ukrainian, through the phone or the car's speakers. It re-plans by itself after a wrong turn.

Learns your car

Nothing to calibrate: the app learns your car and phone on the way, and remembers where you park.

Private

No account. Your position, routes and trips never leave the phone.

How it works

Every GPS position is checked against the car before it is used.

GPS ok

GPS agrees with the car's speed and turns: the status is green.

Jammed

Satellites go. The dot keeps moving on wheel speed and the phone's turns, kept on the roads.

A turn

Unsure between two roads? The next turn fits only one of them, and the circle shrinks again.

GPS back

Fixes are checked against the car for a few seconds before they are trusted again.

See it drive

A drive on the emulated adapter: GPS is spoofed halfway, and the car carries on along the road on its own speed.

In the app

Light and dark, English and Ukrainian, built for a phone in a holder.

Add a car adapter

A small OBD-II Bluetooth plug under the dashboard tells the app exactly how fast the car goes. With it, the position holds for hours without GPS. Without it, the app works while GPS is good.

Android

Any Bluetooth ELM327 adapter: Bluetooth LE, or classic Bluetooth like most inexpensive ones.

iPhone

Bluetooth LE ELM327 adapters, plus OBDLink MX+ and vLinker FS / MS. Classic-only adapters can't work with any iPhone app.

Which to buy

Tested: OBDLink MX+, vLinker FD-IOS. Also good: OBDLink CX, vLinker MC+ / FD+ / FS / MS. Skip cheap "v1.5" clones, which answer with gaps, and dongles made for their own app.

Connect once; after that it connects by itself whenever you open the app in the car. Which adapter, and connecting
